Day 154: One thing I learned today…

Continuing my coursework, I came across an assignment which I really enjoyed. I want to share part of it with you.
First consider an area of your life in which you are struggling. Maybe it is your job, a relationship, or motivation to workout. Whatever it may be write about it as if you are venting to a friend. Put it all out there.
Next, highlight areas which feel disempowering, negative, or unsupportive. Rewrite these areas. Something such as “I feel stuck” can be replaced with “Nothing is permanent and I am able to decide my next move” or “there is not enough time for…” can be replaced with “I have the ability to make time for the important things in my life”
Then re-write and read it out loud. How do you feel?
I did this today. My mindset totally shifted. I did this pretty early in the day and my mood was great. I also accomplished some of the things I originally vented about.
