Swiss Water Decaf Process

Day 127: One thing I learned today...

WOW! Who knew?!? As I have been exploring alternative to coffee/caffeine, I started to switch over to decaf coffee (if I wanted some later in the day). I spoke with my doctor and she informed me that most decaf coffee is processed with the use of chemical solvents (such as such as methylene chloride or ethyl acetate). These chemical strip away the caffeine molecules from the green coffee bean. This is unfortunate and leaves toxins behind.

She told me to look into The Swiss Water Decaf Process. With this, the coffee is decaffeinated using an environmentally friendly chemical-free process. Anyone have any suggestions on your favorite decaf using this process? She recommend Purity so I will check them out and report back.
