Day 38: One thing I learned today…


Just finished a three day workshop, Harmony with Hormones, with Dr. Elly Michelle and Ashleigh VanHouten. Ladies please please please know that sexual health is part of optimizing wellness overall.


This is a topic which is not talked about much. I encourage you to make your sexual health a priority. If you are experiencing pain or discomfort with your mensural cycle or with sex this is not the norm. Most women are given the option to take birth control to “fix” this however this is just a bandaid. If you are experiencing symptoms of PMS (irritability, cramping, bloating, anxiety, depression, mood swings etc.) there are doctors out there willing to help you get to the root of the symptoms. I’ve worked with Dr. Elly Michelle for the past year and I highly recommend you check her out.


I also learned that orgasms are good for our health and decrease cortisol, release oxytocin (natural antidepressant), regulate hormones and promotes balance, improve tissue health of sexual organs, enhance immune function, enhance fertility, promotes improved sleep quality, and can promote focus & creativity.
