Day 118: One thing I learned today…

Continuing with the Niyamas, Isvara Pranidhana can translate to surrendering to God or a higher power.
What does this look like? Living an authentic life and letting go of expectations. Being open to what is, the process of life rather than fighting against what life has to offer. Being present and experiencing life as it unfolds.
For myself, this is the hardest of the Niyamas to follow. I easily get caught up in everyday life. I try to control situations and outcomes. It is difficult to let go of expectations.
Here are some way to implement in our daily lives.
⁃ In our actions, think if what you are saying, doing, thinking is useful? Is it better for all beings?
⁃ Spend time supporting communities
⁃ The way in which one portrays themself (via social media or other forms)
⁃ Rather than remaining fixed and rigid, being open to experiences
