DO YOU STRESS ABOUT WORK WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE RELAXING?

I UNDERSTAND YOUR STRUGGLE

I was out camping in the middle of West Virginia in a remote location. As we traveled the long dirt road up the side of the mountain, our internet connection was lost. Luckily we found our campsite and set up to enjoy 3 days disconnected... and then the PANIC set in about 12 hours into our relaxing trip away. I woke up with a thought about work and I could not get my mind off of it. I needed to send an email and I needed to send it NOW. I drafted the email which NEEDED to be sent and I told my husband we needed to drive to the closest town. We did, we packed up a few items and drove about 7 miles to get connection so I could send "just this one email". Well let me tell you, I thought of about 28 other emails I could have sent over the next couple of hours plus more throughout the rest of our "disconnected" trip away.

DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE ALWAYS WORKING?

WHY HUSTLE TO THIS EXTENT? WHAT ARE YOU GETTING IN RETURN?

WHERE IS THE BALANCE

Slowly, over about 2 years I have escaped this mindset. I have given myself permission to put my own needs first in order to help others. I want to empower you to do the same.

I was stuck in a routine of CARDIO, EAT, SLEEP, WORK, REPEAT. I made sure I was getting my daily workout in each morning by attending the aggressive Group Fitness classes bright and early. I was counting EVERY Calorie... I thought this was the path to healthiness. I was so TIRED every day. I needed caffeine to get through meetings. I would not plan activities in the evening throughout the week because I would come home exhausted, eat and basically go to bed. I dreaded Sundays (we jokingly called this the Sunday Scaries at work)  just because Monday was coming... I was not able to really enjoy a weekend away because my thoughts were on the upcoming week. I was not able to be in the PRESENT MOMENT...

I was WRONG! This was not the path to happiness. I was not focusing on the basics: A healthy MINDSET, positive body image, healthy relationships and CONNECTIONS with others, eating foods to SUPPORT my body, LAUGHING, loving and having FUN

LET ME HELP YOU FIND BALANCE & RESTORE YOUR CONNECTIONS
